Process

I use human-centered design to engage people in creating the places, products, and services that make them happy and healthy.  As we move together from research to synthesis to ideation to prototyping and ultimately implementation, I also draw on the frameworks, tools, and principles of Equity-Centered Community Design and Design Justice to ensure that the process is actively dismantling systemic racism and inequality.

🔎 Research

Listening and observing to find what’s working (bright spots) and what’s not (pain points).

📝 Synthesis

Identifying themes and insights from the research.

💡 Ideate

Imagining new possibilities to address the design challenge.

🛠 Prototype

Bringing ideas to life, testing them in context, and continually revising based on feedback.

✨ Implement

Working with partners to make the ideas happen and measure success.
